AAC Treatment Consultant, Terrence Engles, shared his story of addiction on KMBC 9 News. Engles spoke about his time as a professional baseball player and his continued struggle with addiction to drugs and alcohol.

Able to function for much of his adult life in active addiction, Engle’s struggle took a turn for the worst when he was involved in a car accident which caused him to become fully dependent on painkillers. His injuries and addiction cost him his career as a baseball player.

Now, Engles works for American Addiction Centers and is able to use his story of addiction and recovery to save the lives of those around him. Watch the video below to see the news interview.
