As an Outreach Coordinator for American Addiction Centers in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I have the unique privilege and task of connecting people that are struggling with drugs or alcohol to treatment. Like so many others, I have been impacted by the disease of addiction in my life, and I am honored now to combat it as a professional. I have grown up in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. In 2005, I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps as an Infantry Rifleman, served two tours overseas, and honorably completed my contract in 2009. I then graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and earned a Master of Science degree in Psychology from Kaplan University in 2016. In late 2016, I earned my certification as a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I have accrued a diverse base of experience in the mental health field but quickly found that my passion is working in addiction. As substance use and addiction evolve and the epidemic continues to grow, we as professionals are tasked with continuously growing and working together to save lives and to fight against this horrible disease. I am blessed to work alongside such dedicated professionals and feel proud to be a part of this ongoing fight.
