Our Treatment Options
We offer a range of evidence-based treatment options tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual.
With inpatient residential treatment, patients live in the treatment hospital or facility 24/7 while receiving supervised and structured care. The length of treatment varies according to the level of care needed. But options range from a few days to 30-, 60-, or 90-day stays or longer.
Outpatient treatment doesn’t require overnight stays, so patients live in their own residences and visit hospitals or facilities for treatment. Standard outpatient programs typically involve fewer than 9 hours per week. Robust outpatient options include partial hospitalization (PHP) (aka day treatment) and intensive outpatient (IOP) care.
While not always required, medical detox aims to medically stabilize patients, prevent harmful effects of withdrawal, minimize withdrawal symptoms, and help patients transition to a rehabilitation program or other form of continued care.
Our sober living facilities offer drug- and alcohol-free living environments that help residents solidify habits and coping mechanisms before returning to everyday life.
Therapies & Specialized Programs
Our treatment centers offer specialized program types and therapies to choose from to suit each person’s individualized needs.
Substance use disorders (SUDs) often occur alongside mental disorders, such as anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and more. Our facilities treat the whole person, offering care for both SUDs and co-occurring disorders.
Given the importance of individualized treatment, we provide a host of programs geared toward various patient groups such as Veterans and first responders and members of the LGBTQ+ community. Plus, AAC provides not only faith-based and 12-step programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous but also secular program options. In addition, we offer a special opportunity for alumni to connect, support one another, and contribute to the community.
Group, one-on-one, and family therapies are available as are trauma-based therapies to help individuals address underlying issues that can contribute to substance misuse and addiction. Specific therapy types include: cognitive behavioral therapy, medication assisted treatment, contingency management, motivational interviewing, and much more.
Offered via confidential, HIPAA-compliant video conferences, our outpatient telehealth services provide online treatment support. Services are available to residents of Arizona, Florida, Missouri, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Vermont, and Washington.
