About
Philip Van Guilder is a nationally recognized behavioral healthcare leader, entrepreneur, veteran, and recovery advocate whose extraordinary career has spanned military service, aerospace, technology, and mental health.
After serving ten years in the United States Army, Philip joined NASA as a telemetry engineer, supporting unmanned space missions during a pivotal era in America’s space program. He later transitioned into the high-tech industry, where he founded and led several successful technology companies, earning a reputation for innovation, strategic leadership, and business growth.
Today, Philip serves as Director of Community Relations for American Addiction Centers, where he builds partnerships that connect individuals, first responders, veterans, and communities with life-saving behavioral healthcare services. Known as a “mental health evangelist,” he is a passionate speaker and advocate dedicated to breaking the stigma surrounding addiction and mental illness.
Drawing on both executive leadership and his own journey of long-term recovery, Philip inspires audiences with a powerful message of resilience, hope, and transformation. His life’s mission is to prove that no matter where your story begins, recovery, purpose, and lasting change are always possible.
