Mike Diamond to Host “Mondays with Mike” Alumni Recovery Meetings
Starting June 2nd, American Addiction Centers’ alumni are getting more support than ever in their recovery efforts.
Mike Diamond, Director of Engagement and Intervention Services at AAC’s Desert Hope Treatment Center, is stepping in to host a new biweekly gathering called “Mondays with Mike”. Here, Mike will guide honest conversations about the challenges of recovery, providing motivation for continued growth during the difficult healing journey that follows addiction.
What to Expect from “Mondays with Mike”
Every two weeks at 4pm PST, Mike will host this interactive Google Meet event, designed for American Addiction Centers’ alumni and friends of alumni. Each meeting will cover a different topic, such as:
- The role of honesty in addiction and recovery.
- Coping with stress and triggers without substances.
- Rebuilding relationships harmed during a person’s substance use.
- Finding your identity in recovery.
- Setting realistic goals.
This is a chance for people in recovery to support each other, stay accountable, and learn from someone who has been in recovery for nearly 20 years.
If you are interested in attending “Mondays with Mike”, you can find the upcoming meetings and how to add it to your calendar here.
