Mike Diamond
About
Mike Diamond has worked in the addiction industry for over 15 years, and he brings a wealth of expertise in addiction recovery, family interventions, and community advocacy to his role at Desert Hope.
Beyond our facility, Mike has worked as an interventionist on A&E’s Emmy-winning show Intervention. He’s also a nationally recognized motivational speaker and the author of two inspiring books: A Dose of Positivity and 7 Steps to an Unbreakable Mindset.
Born in Australia, Mike struggled with addiction from the age of 12 and battled dyslexia and trauma through his early years. After moving to America in 1997 and building a successful career in entertainment, Mike hit rock bottom. On April 16, 2006, he made the life-changing decision to get sober.
Since then, Mike has dedicated his life to helping others impacted by addiction, whether they’re a celebrity in crisis or a parent seeking help for their child. He’s known for his fierce compassion, high energy, and unwavering commitment to supporting people during their most challenging times.
At Desert Hope, Mike helps lead our intervention services for families, connects with patients in crisis and encourages them to stay in treatment, facilitates community engagement, and hosts support groups for our alumni.
