Cassandra Keuma, MA, LPC

About

Cassandra Keuma received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. She has worked in the mental health field since 2011, working with incarcerated youth and the chronically mentally ill in various settings including acute psychiatric care, residential rehab, and intensive outpatient programs. She was also a research coordinator for a clinical research study funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) on the efficacy of mindfulness-based treatment for soldiers with chronic pain and opiate dependence.

Cassandra has authored substance abuse articles since 2016 and currently works full time on the insurance side of mental health services. She is passionate about aiding those who are motivated to change their lives and live a life in recovery. She believes that while a strong recovery starts with getting the right treatment, recovery in the long term means taking care of one’s mind, body, and soul through food, movement, and daily self-care.
