Dr. Howard Taylor of Addiction Labs was featured in Addiction Now Magazine, an online resource for topics related to drug addiction and treatment, speaks on the ease of accessing opioids on the streets and how it’s having a massive impact on the staggering number of opioid overdoses.

Dr. Taylor goes on the explain how money is unfortunately at the center of the epidemic and weather it’s by illicit drug dealers or in office-based settings, there is profit to be made from prescription drug use.

“An estimated one out of five patients with non-cancer pain or pain-related diagnoses is prescribed opioids in office-based settings,” said Taylor.
