Types of Addiction Treatment We Offer
No two cases of addiction are alike. The team at American Addiction Centers works closely with patients to develop individualized treatment plans to meet their unique needs.
Some of the levels of care offered at American Addiction Centers include:1,2
- Medical detox: During medical detox, patients receive medical and emotional support to manage the symptoms of withdrawal, preparing the mind and body for inpatient or outpatient rehab.
- Inpatient rehab: Inpatient rehab allows patients to live at the care facility and benefit from around-the-clock care. All patients could potentially benefit from inpatient treatment, especially those who are living with severe addiction or do not have a high level of support at home.
- Partial hospitalization programs (PHPs) and intensive outpatient programs (IOPs): PHPs and IOPs allow patients to live at home, go to work, or attend school when they aren’t in treatment. However, they require more frequent attendance than a standard outpatient program.
- Outpatient treatment: Outpatient treatment offers flexible scheduling that can be an effective option for those who have mild to moderate substance use disorder and a strong home support network. p22 outpatient treatment programs
