Welcome to Desert Hope, a gorgeous addiction treatment oasis with elegant beauty and modern charm located in Las Vegas. Our mission is to help individuals and their loved ones attain and sustain lifelong recovery.
Following arrival and medical assessments at Desert Hope, the client may require a period of medical detox. During this process, which typically lasts 5-7 days, our licensed team of medical doctors and nurses seeks to manage the client’s withdrawal symptoms and provide 24/7 medical monitoring and supervision. For the benefit of the client in Medical Detox (especially during the peak days of withdrawal), our detox rooms are located in a quiet, private area close to nursing stations for easy access and frequent monitoring.
Often, the client’s addiction is complicated by the added presence of a co-occurring mental health disorder (i.e. Bipolar Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, etc.), general physical condition, or ongoing health issue(s). By following a dual diagnosis approach, our strategy of treating the “whole person” prepares the client to confront the addiction challenges and to manage the symptoms of the co-occurring mental health disorder. By addressing strategies for managing both, the odds increase for the client’s successful treatment outcome and prolonged recovery.
We developed our dual diagnosis curriculum, Embracing Change: Recovery for Life by implementing industry best practices to treat the client’s addiction and any co-occurring mental health disorder(s).
Our addiction treatment curriculum treats both the client’s substance addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders. Designed as a series of workbooks, this curriculum is completed by the client independently or in groups. The workbooks contain interactive and educational information that appeals to many learning styles. One benefit of this curriculum is that the client keeps the workbooks and may reflect back on the exercises and personal reflections long after treatment completion.
Desert Hope uses research-based treatment modalities that are recognized by renowned addiction clinicians in the recovery field.
